Notes - Ferrari VIN 9759
Per Bobby Lebovitz, (Jan/2020) "I've owned 09759 since 1983. It is the prototype, used on the stand at the 1968 Paris Auto Show. The car does have plexi head light covers, and the engine is stamped 09759. Before the car was shipped to Kuantz Motors in Illinois, the car was painted 7 different colors. (The story I was told, "the car was resprayed by the factory every time the car was shown at a different venue). The car was built in 1967, has a 365 power unit stamped 09759, but was assembled with some 330 parts under the hood."
The car appears to have been offered for sale, in 1996 (DuPont Registry), with 41,000 miles.
Chronology
Unknown owner states "Car purchased on 1/9/1973 from a dealer in Palmyra, NY. (it had 23,000 miles on it.), and I sold it to a DR S. Nesler from Niles Ill."
Dr. Sheldon Nesler (passed in Oct 1974, car was then sold by a family member) to Gary Handwerker of Morton Grove, IL (January 1975).
July 1976 to early 1980 with John Leach in Joliet, IL/USA.
February 1983 bought by Bob Leibovitz in Chicago,IL/USA.
